How to reduce 3dsmax file size When you work in 3dsmax, you use a lot of file librariesHowever, some files, although you have cleared all of them, the file size is still several dozen MB, sometimes up to hundreds of MBNow use the following script to clean them up1.Maxcript Runscrip Select and click on the 'clean3dbrute' Open2.Maxcript Runscrip Select and click on the 'purge 3dbrute. How to add the Converter to a button / menuitem / hotkey (Macroscript): Starting with Corona 1.2, you will find the macroscript under the category name 'Corona Renderer'. There is also a menu entry in the default rightclick Quadmenu. Is there a way to support the development of this Script?
Will we ever see a converter that works? I am seeing more and more models that I want to buy, but they have Corona materials, but I can't because I can't convert the materials.Well that should tell you something. Either jump ship and switch to Corona, or just get yourself UMC (Universal Material Converter) by Stefan TwigtI'd go for the 2nd option.See a working example:And grab it from here:One suggestion though, I don't know if Stefan implemented it yet, but his script works almost too good. I suggested he gives an option to ignore Dispersion or switch it off. If he didn't get that far yet, then use Olly's VMC script to switch off Dispersion on the VRayMtls after you used UMC to convert (It's basically the Abbe number for Refraction).
Yes I had not ticked that. This file is very odd.
Done by others unknown to me. When I open it I get the message showing all the missing Corona dll. When I run the vray scene convert it just will not change those materials that are assigned to the various parts of the model. It does change the empty material slots in the mat editor to vray materials. It alos leaves a whole bunch of those orange place holder boxes in place of a bunch of interior lights.Right now I can't do much with it because I can't start max 2018 due to Adesk worldwide mega problem. See my post in take5.
